As part of our commitment to ending violence and abuse, the Non-Violence Alliance is committed to research that will advance the field of batterer intervention. Working independently and with research partners like Dr. Emily Rothman, Matrix Public Health Consultants, and EncompassGroup, we are currently involved in research on:

Working to Determine Effectiveness of Batterer intervention Programs in Correctional Settings

David Mandel is currently working with the Connecticut Department of Corrections to review its facility-based batterer intervention program in light of current literature, suggest program improvements, and help them develop a research model to determine the effectiveness of their facility and community based batterer intervention programs.
