Professionals Against Intimate Violence

In 2000 the Non-Violence Alliance initiated the process of bringing together batterer intervention programs in Connecticut. The result has been the creation of the Professionals Against Intimate Violence or PAIV. PAIV is a Connecticut association of individuals and agencies collectively working towards “best practices” with domestic violence abusers. Its goals are to advance work with domestic violence abusers by gaining from each other’s experience, collaborating with private and government agencies and advancing the overall theory and practice of batterer intervention.
